Relocation and Startup Costs for Newly Appointed Faculty
The appointment of highly qualified candidates to the faculty is a central priority at CSU Dominguez Hills. Because of the costs associated with professional relocation and startup requirements, and the need for consistency among the units within the Division of Academic Affairs, it is appropriate to establish guidelines for these costs.
- The following guidelines are established for relocation and startup costs associated with the appointment of new faculty:
- Newly appointed faculty shall receive a new computer.
- Up to $7,500 shall be allocated for moving costs associated with relocations from outside the state of California..
- Up to $3,500 shall be allocated for moving costs associated with relocations from within the state of California.
- If total startup costs are expected to exceed $10,000 College deans or other similarly situated administrators shall consult with the Provost/VPAA prior to any verbal negotiations with the candidate.
